Operating from a purpose-built saleroom in the market town of Brigg, Dickenson, Davy & Markham are one of the leading fine art and antique auctioneers in the region, holding at least 30 auctions per year, including specialist antique and fine art sales every seven weeks.

The firm, who joined the Society of Fine Art Auctioneers and Valuers last year, are independent of the estate agency firm of the same name.

Insolvency specialist CJM asset management were called in Thursday, October 27, the day after a DDM sale in Hull on October 26.

Three sales scheduled for November have been cancelled but CJM told ATG the company were still taking consignments for future sales in the hope that a buyer would be found for the company before the liquidation date set for the end of November.

Paul Cooper of CJM, who are currently marketing the assets of the company to several interested parties, gave his assurances that all consignors currently owed money would be paid in full.
