Three panel discussions will cover the significance and challenges of exhibitions that reunite historic collections with their original settings; what motivates private collectors and their vision for the future of their collections; and the role of museums in 2020 and how they can better engage with the public.
Speakers include Luke Syson, director of the Fitzwilliam Museum, Katrin Bellinger, collector and founder of the Tavolozza Foundation, and Silvia Davoli, research curator at Strawberry Hill House and University of Oxford.
The event takes place Monday, December 2 at the National Gallery from 2:30-5:30 and is free to attend (provided spaces are booked online).
