Fabled work shows a moral supremacy to triple its estimate
AUCTION databases indicate that until the appearance of a copy in December 14 sale at Christie’s New York, the last perfect example of The Dialogues of Creatures Moralysed to appear on the market was the Luttrell copy, in 1936.
Before that it was the copy in the library of the American collector, Robert Hoe, sold in 1911.
