The Alchemist’s Laboratory: Giambologna’s Forge in Florence runs from June 30-July 7 at 35 Bury Street.
The five works on offer have been assembled over two decades by an American collector and will be offered together as a group.
They include some of Giambologna’s most famous models: a lifetime cast of Striding Mars, c.1580; The Fowler (or Birdcatcher) and Cristo Morto, c.1580- 1600, cast by Antonio Susini; Lion Attacking a Horse, c.1700, by Giovanni Battista Foggini; and Hercules and the Centaur, c.1710-20, by Giuseppe Piamontin.
The price of the group has not yet been disclosed.
