morocco, it includes eight engraved plates followed by a calendar for the year. It is priced at £600 by Alastor Rare Books.

This miniature romance, Amour et Gloire, features eight full-page engravings and a calendar for 1827.

Retaining its contemporary gold-stamped red morocco, it is available at Firsts for £1250 from Antiquariaat De Roo.

London Almanack for the Year of Christ 1794 was published the previous year by the London Company of Stationers.

The volume, that opens with an engraving of the Coal Exchange, spanning four pages, includes typical calendar information on bank holidays and the times of sunset and sunrise. This copy, in a decorative leather binding with a matching slipcase is priced at $850 by Bromer Booksellers.
